Rational Survey helps users manage online surveys easily. Users can create their own survey, complete with a customized questionnaire style that includes their choice of colors, fonts, sizes and banners. Rational Survey also supports images for multiple choice questions, giving the user more options when building an effective survey. Pop up surveys can be embedded on the user’s webpage so they automatically open when a link or page is viewed. Data collected through surveys is protected by SSL security. The user can also review each response with the sortable Rational Survey response grid and export data to Excel. Facebook and Twitter integration features are included. Users can set a survey time limit and create reusable questions to add to future surveys. Management tools are also included to help the user get more out of the data collected and better manage the actual surveys. Responses are collected in real time and the user can also create a list for email survey distribution or add a link to share the survey that way. Visitors can try Rational Survey by clicking either the “Launch Free” or “Launch Pro” buttons along the right hand side of the homepage. The registration form asks the user to provide a first and last name, organization name, email address and password. The user must also successfully fill out the Captcha code at the bottom of the form. A short note just below the Captcha code advise the user that by submitting their information they are automatically agreeing to the Rational Survey terms and conditions.
Rational Survey gives users three membership types to choose from. The first is a Free membership which includes up to 25 questions, 100 maximum responders, five surveys, language support, clone and reuse question features, customization features, custom intro page, custom completion page and an agree to terms option. The Basic account costs around $20 per month and upgrades to 100 questions, 500 responders, 10 surveys, advanced skip logic, custom banner upload, secure response collection, PDF questionnaires and custom graphs. The Pro membership costs around $30 per month and upgrades to include unlimited questions, responders and surveys.
